About Me

Hi, I’m Diana Greenwood, a jewellery maker endlessly inspired by the world around us.

Garden flowers find their way onto my charm bracelets and a recent fascination with figure skating has become the tiny blade on my ice-skating necklaces.
During a university design course, I accidentally fell in love with metal. With a Danish mother and a line of engineers on my father’s side, it seemed the perfect material to marry clean, Scandinavian design with technical possibility. I went on to study Silversmithing at the Royal College of Art and eventually found my way into making small pieces of jewellery.

With a touch of British charm and incredible attention to detail, I love to use silver and 18ct gold to hand-cut, construct and assemble my work. My garden and collection of vintage botanical prints are an endless source of inspiration as well as hours spent by the ice-rink in pursuit of my daughter’s passion for figure-skating.

My work is simple, contemporary and personal with the greatest emphasis on craftsmanship. Most of all, I love to see jewellery gifted and worn by the person it was thoughtfully intended for.

A few other things you might like to know:

I am a transformed dog-lover and enjoy nothing more than walking Bella my Cockapoo.
I love mountains, especially Austrian ones. Winter or Summer, I’m easy.
I'm a massive fan of figure-skating and I know the difference between a Lutz and a Flip jump.
I’m a keen gardener and over the years I’ve learnt how to grow and not kill most plants.

I am a Senior Fellow at Bishopsland Educational Trust and a member of The Sussex Guild. I teach the Level 2 Jewellery Certificate and Contemporary Spoon-making at Morley College in London too.
